Gatherings

Our midweek Wednesday meetings revolve around the concept “I do, you watch. I do, you help. You do, I help. You do, I watch.” When you join us on Wednesdays, you can expect a group of people coming alongside you in an honest and vulnerable way while focusing on the teachings of Jesus walking a path towards transformation through discipleship and stewardship. Together we show up for each other. You will hear each others stories, different issues within our community and how the gospel speaks to each of those, psychoeducation on emotional wellness, Biblical learning, and engage in prayer and advocacy.

Part of the Ebenezer story is how we arrived at our name.  Ebenezer means “stone of help”, and you can find the reference in 1 Samuel 7.  As God helped His people in real and tangible ways, He had them create a monument in order to remind them of how He helped them in their time of need- and how His people are called to help others.  Saturdays revolve around that principle: using our resources to be a help to others in our community. The first Saturday of every month is set aside to come together in Linda Vista and do work projects in the community. Some of the projects include painting, mural art, gardening, clean up, vision and planning, cooking to pass out meals in the community, graffiti clean up, carpentry, church building updates and renovations, houseless community projects, assistance in local schools with projects, and more. We would love to have you join us as this is core to what Ebenezer has been called to in the community. Come ready to work with us! All ages are welcome!

Sunday mornings we encourage you to join us for a morning sermon and we invite you to Sunday evenings for fellowship and to break bread together. These times are set aside for our people to seek the Lord collectively, as well as to hear back from the Lord. When you join us on Sunday mornings, you can typically expect connection and conversation on the FB thread. On Sunday evenings you can expect music and sometimes singing, breaking bread together by sharing a meal together, conversation, prayer, and hearing about and celebrating the good news of Jesus.
